Competition rules

Play solo or in a team of 2. Sign up with your @dubai.bits-pilani.ac.in address. Most challenges give every team its own flag and files: sharing flags or files with another team is detected and leads to disqualification. Play fair. Submissions, downloads and challenge views are logged for integrity review. Organizers may issue per-team or decoy values. Violations may lead to disqualification after human review; you will be told the outcome and can respond.

What we log

To keep the competition fair we keep a record of:

  • account creation, sign-ins and sign-outs;
  • which challenges you view;
  • file downloads;
  • hint unlocks;
  • every flag submission and its result (right or wrong);
  • team changes: creating, joining, leaving, renaming and removing members.

IP addresses are never stored as such: only a keyed, truncated pseudonym is kept (the network part, never your exact address). This data is used only to protect competition integrity and is reviewed by humans. There are no automatic penalties: software only flags things for organizers to look at, and any sanction is decided by people.

Organizers with admin access can see the e-mail address you registered with (in the registrations list; every time that list is opened, it is logged). Some challenges give each team its own files and its own flags.
